Advanced Laser Certification is a stand alone certification that is offered to licensed estheticians that want to enter the field of Cosmetic Lasers.  Students enrolled in the Master Esthetics program, do not need to enroll in this laser certification as this curriculum is already included in the 1200 Master Esthetics program.

Advanced Laser Certification
This 30 hour course includes 20 hours of theory and 10 hours of clinical application.  The Comprehensive Laser curriculum includes:

• History of lasers
• Mechanics of lasers
• Laser and skin physics
• Theory instruction on the following laser technologies
  • Ruby
  • CO2
  • Q-Switched
  • Radio Frequency
• Hands on application of the following laser technologies
  • Alexandrite
  • ND: YAG
  • Diode
  • IPL
  • ER: YAG
  • YSGG (Solid beam and fractional)
• Hands on application of the following cosmetic procedures
  • Hair Removal
  • Skin Resurfacing
  • Skin Tightening
  • Skin Lightening (pigmented lesions)
  • Vein therapy

All classes are taught at Elase Academy, although some laser services will be observed and practiced in an Elase Medical Spa facility.   Students will be asked to provide up to 3 models for the hands-on applications.  Models will be required to allow before and after photos.  Models will receive services for the cost of the application.
